I heard the bomb blast at work. I thought it was an intense blast of thunder. A bunch of us commented on it and were looking for lightning (it's a rainy day).
I walked home from work, the streets are very quiet. It's like Norway's innocence has been swept away in one bomb blast.
FUCK whoever did this.
I am glad you are okay. I've been reading your blog for a while but never comment. Glad you are safe!
ReplyDeleteI agree...FUCK them... THANK GOD- most people were out of the city...
ReplyDeleteVery well said Karla. I am so glad that you and Rich are safe. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families, and to Norway as a country.
ReplyDeleteThanks y'all. It's really tragic, and now this shooting on Utøya. What the hell is going on? Seems like someone has it in for Jens. This is Norway's 9/11, it will never be the same.
ReplyDeleteYes, the shooting on Utøya seems to be related. But to go after children, not cool. I agree Norway will never be the same ever again.
ReplyDeleteAnother lurker who is glad you're OK. And I agree - this really sucks.
ReplyDeleteBy now most of us know it was a lone neo-nazi nut; a big blond Aryan psychopath. Yeah.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're okay. I'm heartbroken now about the news I'm seeing on MSNBC tonight - 80 reported dead at a Norway youth camp. Norway was my last hope for a sane, civilized country in an insane world. Norway's 9/11 indeed. I'm so sorry and agree with you completely.
ReplyDeleteBleh. I have no idea what to think, say, feel.
ReplyDeleteBe safe.
So now we find out it's not Norway's 9/11 but more like Norway's Oklahoma City/Columbine all at once. Utterly shocking. I found out the guy lives right by my office...wonder if I have seen him before.
